Interpretation is a demanding task. Interpreters need to select the proper terms to express accurate meaning and have no opportunities to revise. Most often, interpreters have the following capabilities:
1. Strong communication capabilities and flexible adaptabilities;
2. Understanding of the field related to the topics before starting the project;
3. Knowledge of the cultures and customs of the target groups, in order to communicate with them accordingly

Different from accompanying interpreters, consecutive interpreters need many years of experience:
Professional experience of 3 - 5 years, knowledge of the cultures and customs of target group, possessing a certain level of negotiation capabilities and business knowledge.

(3) Simultaneous interpretation:
Simultaneous interpretation, also called synchronous interpretation, refers to the fact that when the speaker does not stop his/her speech, the interpreter will not interrupt his/her speech, but will give simultaneous interpretation.
The interpreter uses a special real-time interpreting device, which is suitable for large high-end conferences, such as large symposiums and international conferences, where two simultaneous interpreters provide simultaneous interpretation alternatively. The interpretation is output from the interpreting machine and the attendees receive the interpretation via headphones. The efficiency of the conferences are significantly improved, ensuring that the interpretation and the conference are synchronized.
Currently, 95% of high-end international conferences use simultaneous interpretation .
Other than basic capabilities, simultaneous interpreters also have such skills as rich and varied experience, quick response reflexes, strong resistence to stress and flexible adaptability. It is well known that the community of simultaneous interpretation is small. Highly professional skills are necessary and the number of such interpreters is limited.
Etrans has over 100 contracted simultaneous interpreters in different regions, so that the requirements of clients for large scale interpretations both at home and abroad can be met.
